What is this all about?

Well obviously this is about chicken, fried chicken. There are many forms of fried chicken. Our favorite is what we like to call naked fried chicken, chicken with very little breading and good crispy skin. Our favorite piece of chicken is the thigh, that's just us.

We would love to hear from you! Post a comment or send us a note and let us know your favorite.

The Good, the Bad and the Nostalgic in the Barbecue Chicken Connection-Part 2 The Good

One place I always enjoy both fried chicken and barbecue is Lancaster's Barbecue at their Huntersville Location 9230 Beatties Ford Rd. The best thing their chicken has going for it is it's cook to order freshness. When you ask for chicken you're cautioned that the wait will be close to 20 minutes. But it's worth it for the most part. It's as naked as you'll find and maybe not quite as flavorful as other places but a great accompaniment to their top notch barbecue. And like most barbecue/chicken places you can also order it dipped in their homemade eastern NC sauce.

I'd like to also give kudos to the owners for preserving part of the building's and Shuffletown's heritage by paying homage to the building's original owners, Puckett's Grocery and Heating Oil, in their decor.
